Like every 21st March since 2017, at the beginning of the spring, Granada celebrates World Poetry Day. In doing so, Granada’s literary community shows its strength through an intense day that became part of its stable calendar of activities.

On the local level, the Granada UNESCO City of Literature Office is organising a series of public readings in collaboration with the University of Granada and the Asociación del Diente de Oro, which will take place all day long in bookstores and institutional facilities, involving a big number of poets who live, write and usually publish in Granada.

On the international level, the UNESCO Cities of Literature are invited to share with Granada their respective events on 21st March. With all the information gathered, a simultaneous account will be offered as an example of collaboration between cities that are part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

The poster is designed by Jacinto Gutiérrez and, as we have been doing since 2019, it will be offered to the Cities of Literature so they feel free to use it to publicise their own activities, with the modifications of format, information, logos, etc. that they wish.

In the next days we will submit the whole programme.
