To mark this year’s World Poetry Day, UNESCO Cities of Literature are linking up to hold simultaneous literary events in 13 Cities of Literature: Granada, Dublin, Edinburgh, Krakow, Barcelona, Heidelberg, Iowa City, Notthingham, Praga, Óbidos, Tartu, Baghdad and Rejkjavik. The cities will also connect their respective celebrations with each other through social networks and a common communications strategy, in such a way that World Poetry Day in the Cities of Literature go on to become an international project. A joint poster have been designed, a joint press release have been generated, and the actions of the cities will be connected in united discourse.

Documental Granada Ciudad de Literatura UNESCO
Realizado pocos meses después de la designación de Granada como Ciudad de Literatura, el documental celebra esta designación y pretende servir de tarjeta de presentación de la ciudad a través de algunas de sus mejores voces. Un total de 63 participantes, entre escritores, traductores, editores, libreros, impresores, profesores, gestores culturales, miembros de fundaciones y asociaciones literarias y artistas de diversas disciplinas son invitados a evaluar el estado de la cultura en la ciudad y a lanzar propuestas de futuro.
