In 2025, the Government of Spain will take on the responsibility of organizing the major World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development, to be held from September 29 to October 1.

Over the course of three days, the city of Barcelona will host the 194 Member States of UNESCO for the establishment of a global agenda for Culture and for the follow-up on the objectives defined at the previous edition, held in Mexico in 2022 and endorsed by 150 States.

At Mondiacult 2025, the First Global Report on the State of Culture will be presented, with a twofold overarching goal: to defend Culture as a Global Public Good and to promote the creation of a specific Sustainable Development Goal dedicated to Culture.
