Meeting in Granada with Heidelberg UNESCO City of Literature

On 26 October 2015 we welcomed Dr Andrea Edel, the director of the Heidelberg UNESCO City of Literature Programme, dependent on the arts department of Heidelberg City Council, which she also leads.

Andrea Edel visited Granada Town Hall and the facilities at the Centro Federico García Lorca, headquarters of the Granada UNESCO City of Literarture Programme. The immediate fruits of the discussions held included an agreement to explore the possibilities for an ambitious joint project: to exhibit in Heidelberg and Granada part of the legacy of Osip Mandelstam, one of the most significant Russian poets of the twentieth century, held at the Moscow State Literature Museum.
